This is a -- S T E R E O -- sing along version of Melissa written the Allman Brothers' Greg Allman, performed by me. I recorded this with the 1963 Gibson SG Special guitar and the 1963 Gibson EB-2DC bass. Drum parts are the Boss DR-660 Dr. Rhythm. Recorded on the Yamaha AW1600 workstation at 24 bit depth and mixed down to 24 bit stereo, and converted to 16 bit stereo to make this YouTube. All instruments were recorded "direct" into the AW1600 without using a guitar amplifier.

Nice guitar..I have a 64' just recently aquired. It doesn't have the bridge, it has the old style original bridge. Maybe you could get me help finding the badass bridge..it would help a lot...It may stay in tune better...I already replaced the original tuners with new klusons and plastic dots not to drill any more holes. The thing was going out of tune and still does a bit...any help would be appreciated.

Thanks. I still have the original bridge somewhere I replaced it with the Leo Quan Badass in about 1977 the year I bought it. Not sure they even make them any more unfortunately, for this model. I don't play covers very often but I do it to help convince myself I do not suck at guitar. Thanks.

Are the p90 pickups you got the originals from '63? Cause that is a hot tone my friend. Hot indeed, good pickin as well

Yes, the guitar is a 1963 Gibson SG Special all original including the P90 pickups, except the bridge is a Badass bridge from about 1977. Glad you like

Cool! Great sound out of those instruments! I can tell you're not using a pick. More feeling that way.
