I will like to know how can you keep the loop in the same position at all times until you change it? unlike Logic when you drag to create your 8 bar loop, if you hit rewind on the tranporter your loop position stays the same. Can pro tools do that? When I hit the rewind button on the transporter in Pro tools I have to reset my loop all over:( Please help me.
@prohomestudio Thanks for the reply -- I think the problem is that this technique described only seems to work with ezdrummer when I add a stereo instrument track. My usual way of starting with a midi track, then adding a stereo aux track with 8 mono audio tracks so I can multi-track the drums out doesn't work. I must start with a stereo instrument track -- record the playback loop, and then multi-track after the recording. Does this make sense ?
@bassonette hi...did you select the edit to timeline option above? did u mark the area you wanted to record? did you select midi merge option? you did right by selecting looping on the play button...what you saw from my video was exactly what I did before letting it loop...anyways, we can discuss more about this, so you get it right..buzz me when you get a chance...
thanks for the vid!
