Your boxer doesn't really have a concept of time (ever wonder why he's just as happy to see you after an hour apart as he is when you've been gone for a week?), so he doesn't understand what's happening to his body. He may be confused about the pains he's feeling, and he'll look to you to help him deal with them.
Even though modern veterinary medicine can help your boxer live a much longer, healthier life than he could have even 20 years ago, he'll still eventually make it to the last few years of his life.
You can't reverse the aging process but you can certainly make the years you have left with him more comfortable.

@shitypants84 My boxer lived to a month under 17! He was in good health up to the last month of his life. He seemed to faint a couple of times in his later years but other than that he was fine. All you can do is keep him as happy active and healthy as possible. I hope Leo has a few more happy years in him.

I'm so sorry for Polly, I'm sure she had a great life. My boxer Leo turned 11 this year and I'm really scared he won't live much longer - today he kind of passed out on my feet while I was doing the dishes, was so scary, he couldn't get up...he was ok after a minute - I'm so worried...

Aww my boxer had to be put to sleep on March 11 2010, don't think these tips would have stopped bone cancer though :'(
