Here is an edited video to music of some of my footage from my first real day in Tokyo. I toured the Shinjuku area and also took my first look around Waseda, both the school I will attend and the neighborhood I live in. I also left in the sound at a few points so you can hear just how loud the cicadas are here. The video starts in Shinjuku, with me walking through Shinjuku Chuo Park and you can see many of the skyscrapers nearby, including the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Offices (TMG) buildings. With the shot of the little store begins the footage of Waseda and with the shot of the big face on the screen begins the footage of my afternoon return to Shinjuku. The first high up view in this part of the video is from the Odakyu Department store roof and the next view is from the Shinjuku Sumitomo Building. I then have some closeups of the TMG Buildings and then the next view is from up top the South Tower of TMG Building # 1 but unfortunately it was just a bit too hazy to see Fujiyama (Mt. Fuji), which you can see from either Tower of TMG Building # 1 on a clear day. The video then shows the interiro of the Shinjuku NS Building, with the largest Pendulum Clock in the world, and finishes up with a shot of a lovely street in Western Shinjuku. Song is "Storm Returns" by Prefuse 73, no rights to it of course. Enjoy.
