Look if youre lonely in SL then youre not putting INTO it. It's not a place where you can just wander around and visit places. You need to contribute your creativity. Through the friendships made by those around you on your land whilst creating THINGS you make new friends and learn and grow, not by taking what others have made your your enjoyment. Be someone DIFFERENT in SL> Dont be the SAME person you are in RL. Step out! Try something NEW! Then you will connect and enjoy yourself.

hmm lonely... I dont think I was ever lonely... But why not be who you are in real life? I like who I am and surely... surely if everyone is being different to who they are in real life then being yourself in a virtual world IS being different? Maybe I'm just not meant for the virtual.

Not necessarily... Thats something Ive been thinking about recently I still like the place but maybe I should leave... let the film be my last foray with the world. I havent been there since I finished the film but who knows?

From the 1st day I landed in SL I NEVER experienced a lonely moment, because I started talking to the other people around me. From there I was led to this place and that place, where I met NEW people and made new friends and taken NEW places. If you don't start talking, and connecting, how can you expect NOT to just wander aimlessly around?

I think you're very perceptive about some of the issues with SL. I've only been on it for just over a week, and have encountered the "empty shop" syndrome. Of course, I'm still looking for freebies and things so I can create the appearance I want, but what then?...
