Glad to see the greats like Paul still love the classics! I think more people need to keep The Monkees' music alive, especially after today. They were a very entertaining group and I will miss them. Rest in peace Mr. Jones, you and your work will not be forgotten.

@CousinJustice15652 Hehe,, nah its fun,, good when music makes you do that :))

@LuciusEsox1 Hey, I do the same thing! :) For Beatles songs, too. It's involuntary! What does that make me...a young fart?? LOL

@TheMonkeesRock That was at the end of the episode "The Monkees On Tour"; I think it had more to do with the fact that if the Beatles hadn't come along before them, they wouldn't have had such success. Part of the reason the show's creators were able to sell the idea to a production company was because The Beatles' films had lent credibility to the sort of comedy/film techniques/music they wanted to do with The Monkees. In any case, I've always loved that little "shout out".

@CousinJustice15652 Yep, for sure.. Makes you think though, they were,, "synthetic" so to speak but when I hear "I'm a believer" crank up anywhere I smile, as I do for other Monkees tracks. God I am an old fart :))
It's a testament to the Monkees' own credibility as a band (despite the nature of their origin) that even the Beatles were fans of their music.
RIP Davy Jones.
