Hi devabarry!, I meant that the final singing part comes from Felt Forum, N.Y. 1970.

@Ruggi81 obviously there are more than two versions used here. So what do you mean by "this version light my fire doesnt come this show but from a show in 1970."???
-
@kml2f True but Jim didn't write songs for popularity at least in the beggining he didn't he just loved his music... and his lsd

@Grandaddyfan209 that's pure bullshit, man. You really don't know much about the Doors do you? This is 1968.. they had recorded 3 albums by this time... and they started playing around 1965-1966. When they first started playing around THAT time, Robby Krieger had only been playing electric guitar for about 6 months. He had been playing guitar for much longer than that.... he had been playing acoustic flamenco guitar since his teenage years...
-
@BeechwoodSilasLang the guitarist had about 5 months of experience at the time of this video.
-
@Grandaddyfan209 ...........huh?
-
Robbie Krieger for sure always exactly knew what he was doing . So please don't talk stupid about a great guitar man .

The intro comes from the European Tour in Sept 68 he rest is from the concert At hollywood bowl in Aug of 68.The same night also Steppenwolf performed live.The other thing that many people dont know is that the parts of the voice of Jim used for this version light my fire doesnt come this show but from a show in 1970.
Jim sang this song in a total different way that night maybe personalizing a bit too much the ending of the song that's why the final part has been totally substituted.
Cheers!
