  • this would slow down the computer wouldnt it?

  • A little bit...but if it's a smooth animation (not too many frames per second) it's ok. With qt 4.5 it'll become even lighter. It's important to say that you can create not only animated wallpapers but "interactive" wallpapers too... ;)

  • nice , i would like the wallpaper at the start more, can you just make the clouds move really slowly in the background - that would be so cool

  • yeah, it's possible. just a few more code into QEdje and bingo! ;)

  • It looks sluggish because of the recording software which only records about 10 FPS or so to keep the file size down.

  • But in the preview windows it seems to be fluid. How can that be? Or a I wrong?

  • Mind sharing how you did it? I apt-get installed QEdje and have no idea how to use it to do this stuff.

  • This is Linux with the KDE4.2 or higher Desktop Environment.

  • It use to happen, same here with the screensaver on the preview it will look smooth because of the size, the render takes less time.

  • Is this on Vista? does it work with XP?

  • I agree, it is the beginning. I am looking forward to see improvements in this thing

  • yes it would, but modern pc's are so powerful it doesn't really matter anyway.
