At the time of this video, the NYPD and medical examiners office had released a statement saying that it was not a suicide, and that it was very sudden. He had not been taking these pills for very long, he had gotten a new kind in Europe, which reacted badly with a long prescribed, but not abused by him sleeping medication. He also used anti-anxiety medication. That is not a "deadly mix of medicine", you dumb fucking bitch, so fuck off you ugly bitches!

I never said it was an intentional suicide. He just wasn't too smart about how he took his pills and it killed him. Even medication commercials tell you to inform your doctor of any other medication before adding more to the pill salad. Especially if they follow different FDA rules from another country. It was irresponsible and it killed him.

I never said he was a "coked up loser". I agree that he was troubled and that he made a mistake, but it was a grave he dug for himself by continuing to take his deadly mix of medicine.

At the time of the filming, the NYPD still had no cause of death so we decided to make some up. This video came out before the autopsy was complete and the last cause of death just happened to fit almost perfectly. He recklessly took those pills like candy so that's how I chose to portray it.

Drugs are drugs. Whether they're prescribed by a doctor, purchased over a counter, or sold on the other side of your local tracks, it doesn't matter. If they are taken irresponsibly as Mr. Ledger did, they can be addicting, they can be dangerous and they can kill.
