the suppresor shouldnt weaken it it should make it better

It's the suppressor that weakens a little bit every time you shoot. You get about 20 or so shots per suppressor.

Yes.  The controls are pretty much the same as MGS2 but with some slight improvements.

Does mgs3 have a radar and/or mini map?

It doesn't have a radar in the same sense as the first few games but they do give you items to check your surroundings, and the map is in the survival viewer.
