http://MamaNatural.com As the days get shorter and the nights get colder, I'm moving my attention indoors. It's time for trying out new recipes, reading intriguing novels and finding creative ways to stay active.

One way to stay keep the holiday spread from hitting my thighs is to jump on a rebounder. Don't know what a rebounder is? Think mini trampoline that's good for you. Don't know about the health benefits of probably the best all round exercise out there? Then be sure to check out my video on rebounding: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9pfbVIu0tY

But in the meantime, here are a few highlights:

• Moves the entire lymph system
• Gentle on the body
• Burns the calories
• Facilitates detox
• It's FUN!

Mike got me a premium rebounder for Christmas, which I enjoyed but frankly it was LOUD. With Griff being such a "sensitive" sleeper, I wasn't using much. (Not to mention that I tweaked my knee doing kettlebell but that's a whole other story .)

Well, that's before the bellicon rebounder entered my world... http://www.bellicon-usa.com/

Whoa! What a difference! This thing is the Porsche of all rebounders. Not only is the bounce smooth, gentle and effective, it's QUIET.

Why such a difference?

Well, the bellicon has bungies versus springs. This is something like, why didn't I think of that? There are softer, quieter, and enable you to jump higher which maximizes the health benefits. With a deeper bounce, your muscles are engaged longer and relaxed longer which is why this exercise is so unique and beneficial.

In comparison to my premium rebounder, let alone the cheapie varieties, the bellicon is like...

- sleeping on 1000 thread count sheets versus 100
- driving a BMV versus a golf cart
- drinking apricot nectar versus pickle juice (I had to get a food reference in there .)

But, just like a Porsche, the bellicon quality and craftsmanship comes at a price. It's twice as much as the other premium models and you could buy 12 cheapies for its price. However, if rebounding is going to be your exercise of choice, and there are many compelling reasons why it could be, then the belliicon is a solid investment. I think of it like a true piece of exercise equipment. We wouldn't balk at spending $1,000 for a high-quality treadmill or elliptical machine so why not for a rebounder?

But for the true test... go find a retailer that sells bellicon rebounders and take a bounce for yourself... cause bouncing is believing!

  • I do high-intensity weight training 1 x wk: It takes me 6 days off to be ready for higher weights. I don't want to be inactive those 6 days, but most exercise is counter-productive to my training. Rebounding was the solution: Light, daily bouncing works the lymph & deep small postural muscles without taxing the larger superficial muscles I work with weights, I go to my "heavy" workout fresh & strong. I recommend a "Bodyblade" while on the rebounder, rather than weights, for the same reason.

  • @M:Mine: 49" Bellicon Premium: $949 not inc tx/shp. Why? To use every day. 1/It's the lowest impact model, (low impact's the main virtue of rebounders), 2/It has the deepest travel, (flying high in the air isn't necessary for a big jump), & 3/It's the only silent rebounder, (use it day or night, while others sleep, study, watch TV in peace). Besides bungees , it's quiet because it's made of the best materials, machined to the closest tolerances, of any rebounder.

  • You are in such great shape! Can you do video on a post baby workout on the bellicon that you recommend/do yourself?

  • I love the black and orange one!!!!!

  • Winning!

    Bouncing!
