Thank you for this. Ever notice that people who actually know and work with computers for a living say what you're saying, and that the people who say it's a fake DON'T? :)

The main information layer in the PDF is at a resolution somewhere around 150 PPI while recommended scanning resolution for a color document is 300. This means that any computer pr0cessing probably reduced the resolution. That means that some pixels that are half black and half white have to be represented as either black or white. I think that this is more likely the cause of the halo effect than "gray areas".

Obama purports to be bright. He isn't. 125 isn't an IQ to advertise. Try to join a Mensa club. His people are hand picked to be as bright as he is. That way he stands out as a rose among thorns.
If they were all that bright, they'd 1st know that failed policies don't work and would have deserted Obama.
The man's had to give up his law degree, his wife too. He's a community organizer aka hustler.
Ar change l. Do you see change or Archangel?
Fallen, yes, one time archangel...

@blainenay It's there, you just may have to blow it up to a higher resolution to see it.
As a computer graphic artist I have not seen any mention of Jpeg compression. I see white halos created by jpeg compression of images daily. The settings in any application which creates PDF files have the ability to use jpg, zip or other compression schemes on images.

@MrFederalistPapers Hi, and apologies for not answering sooner. There is definitely mention of JPG compression in the upcoming book. Thanks for the comment! :-)

I do graphic arts for a living. I know that if you create a 1 bit bitmap from text & paste it at 100% into another document, it will become the dpi of the new document. All layers in a PS document will have the same dpi. Illustrator can have any number of dpi. So it was assembled in Illustrator. The text is a variety of colors. This does not happen from a black and white scan. It was a black and white scan because there is no chromatic shift. Curve to match the curve of the text, does not match.

@courag1
So do I.
There's no direct evidence at all that Photoshop or Illustrator used. All of the direct evidence is that the document is a PDF file, and internal metadata states the file was created by writing to PDF. on a Mac computer.
There are many programs that can create PDF files.
There's more that I'm not telling you because I'm not ready to reveal it yet. But it's all consistent in the same direction. :-)

@springfieldcompguy Making a .pdf from CorelDRAW, for example will tell you it is made in CD. The same for Illustrator or Photoshop. But CorelDRAW's .pdf is much smaller and doesn't need to be remade by Acrobat Professional. But Illustrator and Photoshop especially makes HUGE .pdf files. If you want to email or upload them, Acrobat Professional does a good job of compressing them. It can lack the data from file made by program data. Or you can print to .pdf. Mac actually has fewer options.
