  • Jacque Fresco is way ahead of our time, just like Leonardo da Vinci once was... with the society we have nowadays there's no way anything will change... the greed and arrogance has consumed us all... the only way to save humanity is to start all over... that's only going to happen when the system fails...

  • People should really stop saying this wont happen in our time. The only thing you can correctly say is that I assume this wont happen in my lifetime. I can assume that change happens with you. You can be like him if you would like. I insist you try extreamly hard to change your value system.

  • @Conkuur I think that if you would watch the entire video you would come to understand that the underlying message is quite different.

  • @occupyknowledge To be more in tune with our peers and become more altruistic. I never thought how important a religious belief could be and the practice of it in society. I knew we all had what neurologist call the God or faith section of the brain. So indeed this in fact helped me learn something thanks for that.

  • @occupyknowledge Just as a switch is flipped it can also be flipped back given certain stimuli. The underlying message I seemed to pick up from that section of video was that religious communities seem to thrive and do better (Amish,Kibbutzim, etc). Yet if we look at America it has become more corrupt as religion and going to Church has been fazed out. So I did understand that part of what he was saying. We in fact do need others be it Church people or Community projects.....

  • @occupyknowledge Well I watched the parts you asked me to. (I will watch the rest later) Basically I agreed with 98% of it. Genetics do play a part and can in fact be changed as the video says. The Old Philanthropists answer was Eugenics just get rid of this bad strain of people. However this video seems to want to reeducate people or micro manage them to flick said switches to make them more conforming. This is even less efficient then Eugenics.

  • @occupyknowledge I will definitely check it out and get back to you on this further. Hopefully we can discuss this logically and without emotions like the other person unfortunately. Thanks for the link.

  • @Conkuur In addition to my previous response: You also mention human nature. All evidence appears to indicate that the only form of human nature that exists seems to be derived from human needs (including both physical and psychological needs). Humans develop if a different set of traits if certain human needs are met than if they are not. That is why human needs are central and the only form of authority in the venus project apart from the availability of resources..

  • @Conkuur You are partly right! Certain individuals can have a genetic predisposition for displaying certain behavior, but only under a certain influence of the environment. Genes can actually be turned on and off by influences in the environment (the epigenetic effect). Please check out the movie (youtube): "Zeitgeist moving forward" from time: 09:14 until 40:30 for more information on this.

considering your part in this discussion I feel you will find it very interesting.

  • @Conkuur Lol okay, you just continue to prove my point. You clearly have not looked into the Venus Project and continue to perpetuate the current propaganda. It would seem to me and most people that it is you who has difficulties dealing with challenges. Go ahead run away and bury your head in the sand, so typical.

  • @stalkingcat123 Attacking me proves to me you have been usurped.By doing that you pretty much even prove my point. In order to share certain beliefs and Knowledge and come to conclusions we must remove emotions from said conversations. You clearly are incapable of being challenged so I will no longer address you. You see this is the perfect example of the problem with Society as a whole.

  • @stalkingcat123 No I have a large list of historical evidence and Science that proves me unequivocally correct. Both genetics and human nature disprove ole Jaques theories. Man has certain innate needs and desires, having nothing to do with a culture at all. Add in the genetically inherited traits that make up certain personalities as well. The whole we react to things we learn from culture has many factors I will give you,yet how we react and interact depends on more than that.
