wow. I remember voting like crazy for him this season, and I was so happy for him when he nailed this song. (And I also remember being really annoyed with David Foster, lol. I've never liked him). Elliott was the first favorite I ever had on American Idol and I think he's one of the best vocalists they've had. He's such a genuine guy, I cried when he left, but I'd say he's doing alright and he's better off having his own control for his music. This performance was fantastic :)

David Foster changing up the song was ridiculous. Who is to say what gets people excited. Had to agree with Randi that he should sing the song the way he's familiar with singing it - the good way, not the David Foster way. Thankfully, he came across in spite of dumbass David Foster. David should stick with Andrea Bocelli and leave other people's gifts alone.

ive always felt that Eliott had the most different and unique male voice on Idol ever....even in my opinion better than David Cook although i loved Cookie....
being a soul singer is harder than a pure rock singer...
when i think Taylor hicks won that season its still makes my stomach cringe...
