Gamilati stormed to an emphatic victory in the Group Two Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Cherry Hinton Stakes over six furlongs on Newmarket's July Course on Friday, July 8.
The two-year-old Bernardini filly, runner-up on her first two outings, started smartly and was soon covered in the middle of the 11-strong field by Frankie Dettori.
@MrWank98, I agree with goodfella30. Why would you think it weird that Dettori has the best win record or win % among Godolphin jockeys? He's their #1 guy in major stakes races. With no disrespect at all meant to Ted Durcan, because I think he's an awfully good jockey himself, but he's no Lanfranco Dettori. The young guy, Mickael Barzalona, looks to be awfully talented. But he doesn't even look old enough to shave yet. LOL. He'll have to ride another 25 or 30 years to eclipse Dettori's mark, IMO

This filly looked really good recently at Meydan on their tapeta surface, too. Winning the UAE 1000 Guineas Trial, and Dettori had her under a hand ride the whole way. Even with all the ability Gamilati seems to have, she's still likely considered about #3 in the pecking order among Godolphin's 3yr.old fillies right now. Behind Lyric of Light and Discourse. Although there was precious little between Gamilati and Discourse in that Newmarket July Course maiden they both ran in back in June.
