By the end of 2005, Tony went to Syria in order to work. One year later, Marwan did the same thing. The band reformed there. The band relocated to Istanbul, Turkey.

The online broadcast network vbs.tv made a documentary about Acrassicauda in 2003. Another documentary was recorded in 2006, which reveals what happened to the band.

Acrassicauda were featured in the documentary film "Heavy Metal In Baghdad".

The band was granted refugee status in the United States in 2009.
