4:19, my husband had exactly the same problem when reading The Brightest Star in the Sky too. Marians work is certainly not chick lit, it's peoples lit. Her work is all about reaching into the characters she writes about and showing the reader the similarities in them. No one does that as well as Marian. She is such a genius. I finished The Brightest Star in the Sky last month and I have to say, it was moving, funny and charming. My favourite so far. I hope there will be more soon. x x x x
