The Story and Song from The Haunted Mansion - Part 1

My mom got this for me today. Here's the description on the back of the case for the first track: "In 1969, this Disneyland Records Storyteller album was released to commemorate the opening of Haunted Mansion. Intended as a simple promotional album, this recording has become a cherished childhood memory for many Disneyland guests. 'The Story and Song from The Haunted Mansion' includes original scenes and effects that never made it into the final attraction as it follows the story of two teenagers (voiced by Robie Lester and a young Ron Howard) who take refuge inside the eerie mansion during a mysterious storm." I made this track into three parts (because it was so long). So, enjoy!

Had this LP when I was a kid, I didn't even know it was a disney attraction!, Anywho I borrowed it to a neighbor kid and never saw it again! Thanks for the memories!

@Barnabas45 Yeah, it was actually based off of the Disney attraction and recorded in 1969, which is the same year that the attraction opened. :)

Did you hear they are making the another Haunted Mansion Movie set for 2012 and they want to put the Hat Box Ghost in it. The guy who produced Pen's Labyrinth is doing it

I got this when I was in kindergarten about 1971. I still have it and in good condition. Won't let my kids touch it. I did record it to cassette some years ago so as not to put anymore wear on it.

Hey I know the voice of the ghost host, it's Peter Renaday, the same actor who voiced Al-Mualim in Assassin's Creed. Wow he's good.

My dad found this at a garage sale in the early 90s...I still have it :) All I need to do now is find a mint condition 1970s Haunted Mansion game at a garage sale, haha!

@gallantentry The flip side of this LP is Part Two of the story. There was an edited version on the flip side an LP called "Trick or Treat", the story of the Donald Duck cartoon.
