@dontae562 To answer your question, no your amateur career record does not carry over. Look up any fighter and his W-L's are separate from his Pro W-L's.

I don't know about these teams, I think that is silly, However, how about tournaments, and that all the fighters, from the 10 round pro ranks, and the world champs could enter. This would also allow pro fighters to keep more active, and maybe get stardom if they really deserve it. Amazing that it Italy boxing as a pro sport has gone down, I think it was big in its heyday of the 1960's with Nino Benvenuti.

@dontae562 The boxers do not have a pro career, since they remain affiliated to the International Boxing Association AIBA, which is the governing body for Olympic boxing.
