Dosbox Wii part 1 of 5

this is obviously dosbox on the Wii. using the latest version of dosbox Wii 0.73.02. I would like to point out that Betrayal at Krondor is fully working and with CD audio too. the first part of this 5 part video shows that there are minimal hangups and no crashes so far. I would like to say that this is a very good improvement and would like to see more done with this, but what i can say for something that is free?

It is said that networking and CDROM support are missing on the Wii. I used a neat little workaround. It isn't so much a workaround as much as it's a, "didn't think of that!" sort of deal for the CDROM part. Within dosbox there is imgmount. just use imgmount to mount your CDROM you want. i recommend using the bin/cue format and mounting the cue. sound stutters a little bit only due to loading and sometimes a little manual adjust to the CPU cycles is needed.

what drive do you mount to?

@Left4Danny2 dosbox Wii already mounts to the dosbox folder on the SD card as drive C and any usb stick you plug into the system will be on drive D when the app is started. so what exactly are you looking for?

on my Wii, Krondor runs much slower then in your video. can you post your CPU config (type, cycles etc) would be great, thanks

"cycles = 7000" then just decrease cycles twice with a usbkeyboard to smooth out gameplay. framskip is set to 3

you download dosbox, put it on a SD card a certain way, and load it up on the wii

How do I get the damn thing to quit telling me I don't have enough memory to run it? It seems like I should just be able to mess with the ems/xms settings in dosbox.conf, but nothing seems to work.
