As a pedestrian, you STILL need to make sure the car is going to stop. You don't just start crossing the road because it's your turn to cross the road. Make sure it's ok first. Use your brain.

@MrCletus999 watch yourself. while many women are bad drivers. and trust me Utah where i live is one of the worst. Even worse than California. But please dont assume that all women are bad drivers. Ive seen just as many bad men drivers as women. You just dont hear about the men.

Not according to the UK government stats here, LOL. Young males 17-25 years of age are involved in the majority of fatal accidents, and a majority of others here. Over confidence you might say.
