What the hell gives pompous assholes the right to come on here and trash Jimi? A man that had more talent, originality, creativity, and ability in a cut toenail than these jerks can ever dream about having. No doubt another insecure, self-absorbed guitar player. The most egotistical punks on the planet...

I don't believe this! I was there. My buddy Mac and I, both in 6th Bn 9th Art stationed in Giessen, Germany drove down to Frankfurt to see him. I "liberated", a giant (3' x 4') poster for the concert from somewhere in Giessen, and hung it on the wall in our flat. when I rotated back home, the poster came with me. When I went back to college a couple months later, I donated it to the new Black Student Center. As Fall Out Boy sings, Thanks for the Memories. - OWGjohn.

Saw this concert at the Stadthalle in Frankfurt; sound was so loud my ears rang for 2 days; also the effects he could get were incredible, as well as his creativity for ad lib guitar work....

I love the bootleg quality of the recording. Even here, the brilliance shines through.

Who takes that to offense? lol

@StratoBlaster420 "jammin for some europeans" ?
It was the Europeans who gave him his chance in the music biz when the Americans couldn't give a shit about him. Whatever, this is definitely not his best performance but for sure he was one of the all time greats.

that's a fucking great performance ! so , all of u who are telling it's bad ,
FUCK YOU AND GO LISTEN TO GAGA OR SOMESHIT ELSE !!
Sounds a bit out of tune but still beautiful playing. Jimi always finds a way to make it sound right... (after saying this, it turns out he played a 10 minute version of I Don't Live Today before this so of course he'll be a bit out of tune.)
Thanks for the upload.

I agree, the tuning isn't spot on but it's a great performance nevertheless. Thanks for the comment.
