I've actually changed my mind completely on this whole subject.
This whole fast twitch/slow twitch thing is BS. Apparently 99% of Jamaicans have a gene promoting fast twitch, problem is 85% of white Europeans the SAME GENE.
Conclusion, race can't be the only thing going on here.
Scotsman Allan Wells would be up there if he was around today, especially if he was juicing, as I'm sure most of them are now.

So should ugly people and attractive people have to use different dating websites and such?
-
He's a beast on the track.
-
well on the contrary how about all the white cyclists and swimmers?
it is genetics and if black guys are faster. so what? they're still men, so therefore they're still the worlds fastest men
-
why do people always have to be racist or be negative...give them credit?
-
i ran a 6.27 50 meter haha these guys r beasts
-
Why is no one stopping and saying... "Wait, they're all black. Maybe they have a genetic advantage?"
I'm sorry, but it's hard to really look at the sporting achievments of African-Americans when there's this constantly looming question over "racial" advantages...

yeah he's slowing down, but he's also putting on more and more weight. I think if he loses the bulky muscle he'ss be able to run with better form and be faster on the starts?
Obviously, they have a racial advantage. It isn't wrong or unfair; that's simply the way God has created them. They usually have a larger concentration of fast-twitched muscle fibers, and therefore are better sprinters. Everyone is built differently; that's why not everyone can be an actor and not everyone can be an athlete, etc. It isn't unfair; it simply means that different people have different talents and abilities.

-Well yeah, it isn't their fault. Everyone IS different. Some people are handsome, some aren't- it sucks, but that's genetics -and that's life.
-But we're talking about a population that has an advantage/disadvantage over another.
-For example, some women are stronger than some men, but most aren't. Men have a genetic advantage in strength. Hence, men and women compete seperately. Direct competition would be unfair.
-This analogy COULD work for race. COULD.
