It's a dual effect. Extremely chilled intake air temperature, nitrogen and oxygen split giving the engine way more oxygen than it could intake otherwise adding power.

It's spelled GRAMMAR ass clowns!!

@prosurfer2222 Glad you are bright enough to get the joke on you! Considering you thought hard enough about it to need to reply to me twice about it...you earned yourself either a cookie or a sticker. Your pick.

@Magnuspire Ah, that's a pretty stupid generaization. Every car has a place. A V8 is typically better for making power all motor, but you can't deny a boosted civic or one with nitrous. Comparing a nitrous shot V8 to a 1.5 or 1.6L economy car is retarded.. That's like bragging that a civic can pull 42 legit mpg on the highway and this jeep won't even touch that - diff setups for diff applications.
*sigh*
Wish the haters, both foreign and dom could pull their head out of their asses..
Cole you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Go sit in the corner. Nitrous is nitrogen and oxygen. When heated to 570* the particles split and the extra oxygen allows more fuel to be burnt at the same time. Go read up on it and then come back. Its cold because its compressed, just like any other compressed gas..

You pissed off the kids by comparing their wind-up toy, aka Honda, to your Chrysler. One of these days they'll wake up and smell the real cars.
