@DUANESKEE Yeah man. People who slam these guys have no clue. As a trumpet player myself and a aspiring jazz musician I get tired of people not realizing how the greats like Blakey, Freddie and all the guys before us had to pave the way for us. Freddie is the most gifted jazz trumpeters of all time. And Blakey might have looked old but he always brought his A game. I owe all these guys by continuing to play and teach this music to the uninformed.

@copedogg888 in a magazine i was reading they said Freddie split hes lip blood running down onto hes shirt .Freddie play super hard I think trumpet players to day rest there chops . Wynton said that John Coltrane was addicted to practicing he even practice on gigs in the back when the other bandmates were playing lol

To all yall making comments bad about these great jazz artist, yall have never done one ounce of dedication and hard work these great musicians have done,yet u critisize them. Please just enjoy their brillance they give US. So what Art Blakey looked old. Do u know how many young cats would give their left nut to be where he was sittn right there and being that good, and accomplishing what he did. Then yor comments hurt family members of these greats.
