This call to bring troops home is a joke, it makes all the work we've done worth nothing, and my friends I watched die next to me, their lives were lost for no reason if we do not finish what we started.

I respect you and your position but there is no finish to what you guys have started. The troops will never leave the iraq. As long there are foreign troops in Iraq, There will be no end to the insurgency.I hope you realize that you went to war for oil and israel. The basis for going to war with iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 and SAddam. There was too much money to be made by the people who really run this world.

hockeygoal, what is it we're supposed to finish" in Iraq? Bush said we had to invade because they had WMD's. They didnt. They were going to attack us. They weren't. They were tied to 9/11. They weren't. As a result of the invasion, the country is a total wreck, no economy, hundreds of thousands of innocent people dead, or tortured, al qaueda now using it as an operations base. Again, what is it we're supposed to "finish"? We never should have invaded to begin with.

I'm with you. I never agreed with this war, I never wanted it or thought it justified and I certainly don't want it continued... But let's do something right while we're still there, let's help repair the damage and get them back on their feet, and then maybe it won't be all for naught.
