Stopping Work at Mainshill - Solidarity Camp Gathering 31st Oct & 1st Nov

Come to the Mainshill Solidarity Camp Gathering Saturday 31st October & Sunday 1st November - build the camp new defences, come on a site tour of what has been destroyed and what we can still save, and take action against the work that has started turning Mainshill Wood into an opencast coal mine. Why are you trying to save non-native conifer plantation of low biodiversity value which will probably be replaced by high-value native broadleaved woodland once the mining is finished? I am a conservationist also (countryside ranger), but what you're doing does not make sense to me. What are you actually trying to achieve?
