Obscure GFR song from the first album 'On Time' captured at the Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheatre, Peach Tree City, GA - June 12. If you close your eyes you'd swear it is 1969 all over again....

  • First time I ever heard him screw up the lyrics.

  • Mark's voice has held up well. He sounds as good as ever.

  • I have On Time on CD. And I don't think today's technology would do it any justice. I wouldn't change a thing. To me it is one of the most pure, strong and best sounding CD's that they ever made. Great songs, and Don Brewers crisp drums were in the left channel and it makes it unique to listen to. In my opinion. It sounds better than the Red album or Closer to home as far as sound quality. And it was their first record.

  • One of my favorite Grand Funk railroad songs of all time!

  • Of course we were. Especially if you were 19 and hip deep in a rice paddy in SE Asia, or a young black man in Compton. Jesus, what simple minds you people have.

Ever occur to your geniuses that the music was so good because the times were so tumultous and so much anxiety and anger were present ?

If you were black, latino, female or a white male of the wrong age 1969 wasn't a 24-7 pool party. I was one of those white males of the wrong age. I miss the music, but I don't miss the times at all.

  • Yeah, but it would be real crap without Mel and Don. They're just as responsible for that record as Farner is. This drummer is whack.

  • what's funk ?

    what NRG !

  • Awesome...I do think white spotlights should be banned though.

    Great job John!

  • Great! wish he would re-record the entire album ON TIME with today's new technology!

  • Great tune Mark, good job, keep rocking keeps us young in the heart and soul.
