I was approached about doing an instructional clip for a great bass website called Bass Player's United. I asked them to run a poll and ask readers what topic I should choose. The decision? Arpeggios!

I decided to take it one step further and to a few videos.

Part I - ARPEGGIOS
Part II - CHORD SCALES
Part III - Demonstration using the material we've covered by way of improvising over Miles Davis' "Blue In Green"

Hope you all dig!

  • thanks, cool lesson, I'll be tuning in for more. keep calling out the inversions, it helps get it in the ear.

  • Thanks man. Been playing for years and you have inspired me to get back to some of this. Very cool approach. Love to hear you play brother.

  • hermoso....

  • Thanks Damian! So, this is what's happening with many of the great jazz soloists. I have a whole new approach to learning and using arpeggios now.

  • *Instructional* noodling ( 4:53 ) is ok ;-). Thanks for taking the time to do this, Damian.
