Take a ride on the Carrizo Gorge railroad though the famous and perils Carrizo Gorge and over the worlds largest wooden trestle spanning the Goat Canyon. Ride inside the locomotive cab though tunnels and amazing desert scenery.

  • Considering that the line between Plaster City and 8 sees no traffic now, I find it significant that all the freight cars we see in this footage are empty.

  • @orangetrain66 @orangetrain66 CZRY operates tourist passenger service for the State of Baja California currently they haul 3 former CNW/Metra bilevel gallery cars for the service.

  • @orangetrain66 Well CZRY might own some equipment, but the railroad line, right of way and or track is owned by the San Diego & Arizona Eastern Railway, which is a Nevada non-profit corporation. SD&AE designated SDIY responsible for the desert line, but SDIY had the desert line closed except the west part for PSRM operations. CZRY came up in the late 90's with the idea of reopening the line, asking SDIY and SD&AE/MTS permission to reopen (2004), and operate freight until late 2008, after embargo
