@cambsG Well i eat the pigeons and some of the rabbits that i shoot, the rest i use to feed my cats, but i don't eat the crows and magpies as they are known to feed on anything they find, like road kill and dung heaps. Plus they destroy the nests of song birds and eat the young chicks. So i wouldn't consider them safe to eat.

What kind of licenses do you need in UK to hunt with air rifle?
NallekarkkiStudio 1 week ago
@NallekarkkiStudio You don't really need any licence so long as you have a good reason to control the vermin you are shooting (protection of crops, livestock etc) and have the land owners permission. You don't need a licence in the UK for any air rifle under 12ft/lb of power except in Northern Ireland were you need a licence for any air rifle.

@HuntersVermin Okay. In finland you need a licence to any airgun too. You also need to do this kind of "Hunters exam" to hunt with any gun.

@NallekarkkiStudio A voluntary exam or somewhere you could go to learn about small game hunting wouldn't be a bad idea here at least you will have proved that you know what you are doing before going out hunting.
