  • This should be taken care of in civil court, not detention. This is an infrigement of freedom of speech outside of school property. The negative facebook page is wrong, but it was done outside of school. If pursued, the students father would definitely win in Supreme Court.

  • is it just me, or does the dad's goatee look like it was drawn on with a sharpie marker?

  • the voice of Dr. Jerome Melvin sounds like Bill Clinton

  • we have 5 of theese

  • Teachers and principles do not have authority outside of school grounds. They are not police. They are not courts. They are not judges. They are not dictators. These kids have had their rights violated. Where's the ACLU at?

  • @rksu747 The difference between the the two is age. The adult should know better becasue he can get fired. While in the world of a kid, school rumors are not illegal, and freedom of speech is what needs to be addressed not everyones feelings.

  • @RSminiclips If I would have known you were 15, I wouldn't have been so harsh. I thought you were much older. See what happens when people assume. Take care!

  • @kidsnetsoft

Okay, well you're obviously an older person because I have never run into anyone online that actually admits they are wrong. I'm 15. Anyways, glad to see you understand what I mean't.

  • @rksu747 Uh, because that's exactly the opposite of freedom of speech. He COULD make facebook pages bashing his students, that's totally legal. He just can't expect not to get fired because of it. The students arn't working for the teacher, it's the other way around.

  • @RSminiclips You are right, I was being unreasonable. As a teacher, I get fed up with the generalizations about what we do. Many people are clueless about the nature of our job. It is tough, but it can be very rewarding too.

  • @kidsnetsoft

I didn't even reply to you? And it was more of an in general thought, I have had more teachers that don't like there job and complain non stop then good ones. And you have no right to sarcastically call me educated, when you don't even know me. Theres no way you could think I'm uneducated from one statement.
