From KETC, LIVING ST. LOUIS Producer Anne-Marie Berger follows the progress of restaurateur Paul Buzzetta, who has been trying to open a new restaurant—Paulos—in the historic Lafayette Square district of St. Louis. Since he began work during the summer of 2007, Buzzetta has pushed back the opening date of the new place several times first due to construction delays and now due to the financial crisis that has risen, which has limited the loans available to him. Berger has followed his story over the past few years, tracking the projects progress and speaking to a very determined Mr. Buzzetta, who is still pushing for the completion of the restaurant.
Good Luck -- Hope the Bank does what the TARP Money was provided for in the first place, to lend money to small businesses! Write your Congress person since they're the ones who wrote the checks to the banks! Also, send a letter and a link to this video to Geitner at the Dept. of the Treasury -- ask him how you're supposed to provide a service to the residents of St. Louis if the banks won't loan you the money.
