This clip documents that the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center or MCAGCC in Twentynine Palms recently (July 2010) called all personel into a meeting to warn them not to be involved in any protests or to have any contact with persons who are activist or protesters otherwise they would be discharged. This policy is unconstitutional considering that it violates the very first Ammendment of free speech and free association. If the military's brass all the the way up to the highest levels haven't noticed the fact that our country isn't doing so great these days and only seems to be rapidly in decline. America is dealing with the lack of Jobs, the neverending Oil gusher which is also the single most distructive environmental disaster in recorded human history, the endless wars of aggression, the addiditional & increasing unfair taxes, the inflatiing Dollar and colapse of our economy, staged terrorism to keep our citizens in fear, and the ongoing corruption of so many in public service who are robbing our citizens blind and have destroyed public trust. Free speech is not only a right, but a duty by every American who cares about our Nation. Our armed services are "OUR" armed services with the primary duty to defend the Constitution and protect the American people. When one considers the extent of our Nations problems, not allowing any active military personnel even the slightest contact with any civilian political activist strikes me as suspious and very unAmerican. What is really going on here? Are powers that be afraid the troops might learn some of the information that they don't want them to have, like the fact that they are all being exposed to vast levels of depleted urainium in Iraq and Afghanistan which will destroy their lives and health forever?
Poor, poor baby! You don't like the fact you can't bitch and whine? Then when your enlistment is up, don't re-up.
The military needs to distance itself as far from the political process as it can. Simply vote when it's time to do so and other than that, follow the orders of the Command Structure.
I can't stand Obama, but if I were still in, I would still follow his orders since he is the president.

yeah, no shit you can't go to a protest or say anything against the government... at least on paper. Believe me the chief of staff here would have no problem recommending someone for an administrative involuntary separation.
