To the best of my knowledge, the soviet union was the only country that used artillery to annihilate a battlefront. Other nations used artillery to destroy stratetic targets or open up a breach in the front which troops could exploit. But the russians, used artillery to simply annihilate anything within a designated destruction zone, it was common for their offensives to begin with massive artillery barrages lasting over an hour and involving thousands of guns, mortars and rocket launchers.

Because I also deeply respect Russian culture and people, and military, I'm not the sort who picks side and rages against other people, I'm no Communist, or Nazi, or Democrat, I just like military related things.

@TourettesOrc wtf is wrong with you moron! this is a tribute for all soviet soldiers not a fucking political propaganda video.
yes stalin killed mio. but how USSR managed to become a superpower with all this dead people. the answer is stalin did not killed as much people as western propaganda said. yes he killed 1000s of people but not mio. look at china they lost about 30mio. people because of mao but they failed to become strong like the USSR.
Excellent footage!
Being under fire from these, must be so horrific, that none of us could imagine it.
