seriously, I pity you.. You got one of the world's best games throughout history (!!) and you have to listen to it dubbed and with poor sound effects... ruins the whole scriptwriting :S
It was funny though, it sounds like a german propaganda movie from the 40's he he, no offense to anyone, just found it funny.

none taken SebSk ... but even though i live in austria i DO prefer games in english, when sc first came out here, there was only a o- version with german subtitles available, this cd sadly cracked 3 years ago so i rushed it and got a new one, which unfortunately was in german ;( nevertheless i enjoy the game in both versions >> and as you said arcturus speech is and was intended as propaganda, so it sounds (just to me) a little stronger in german (as germans now how good propaganda is made) :p
