In the potentiometer diagram, the dial was turning the wrong way to increase the resistance.

first, alot of the code is pre made on labview if you get the FRC (First Robotics Competition) version, also almost everything in the car is what a common frc robot contains so theres no special code most of its pre made, as for the iphone theres an app called driverstation look it up and that can be used to run any labview code downloaded to the cRIO easily wireless all you need is the ip of the crio usually:10.xx.yy.5 which would be your team name and change your wifi ip to 10.xx.yy.6

Actually, the controller, modules, power distribution board, battery, motor controllers is available for 1,800 retail. The NI RoCK is the retail version of the FIRST Robotics Competition Kit of Parts which thousands of students around the world have (less expensive for teams). bit(dot)ly/NI-RoCK
The car was only $300 on Craig's list and we pulled the motors out of the doors from the car. The only other parts we had was metal bars, a sproket and a motorcycle chain.

Fake using the iphone to control the a real car. The Iphone dont have external I/O interface only for audio and programing the phone. Now if you were to call another phone using your iphone then use the keypad tone and a decoder on the remote phone for left and right input you could convince me lol.

We wrote a custom app and used WiFi to communicate with our controller in the car. No wires needed. Be sure to check out the video response where our developer talks about the iphone app he wrote.
