  • i have exactly the same d200 and 70-300mm g and i love them! dropped my d200 once, and used it in the snow a couple of times, and it's still working! haha

  • @iamneoweisheng89

Mine had all sorts of fun in Michigan with all the snow, and I dropped it for the first time since owning it not long ago. How nice of me haha.

  • Take no notice of these freaks giving you grief about their cameras being 'better' than the D200. I have a D200 and it is a very good camera. Taking great pictures is 80% technique and 20% equipment and with a D200 you have the equipment covered. People that need to spend £1500 on a camera obviously are compensating for a lack of technique.

  • You should NOT do like that!! If you accidentally let go of the shutter, the mirror will come down and maybe it will be damaged!! There is a special action in the menu called "Mirror

Lock", which locks the mirror when the shutter is pressed. Do it the right way!

  • I love my D200 !

  • @Ishcoa

very good way of putting it!

  • This is still a great camera. I've owned three 5D mk II's (over the years, not at once), a Nikon D200, a canon 50D, Nikon d3000, and a Pentax K20D. Of all these cameras, the Nikon D200 is the most solid camera. It just has that "pro" grade quality feeling in your hands. The photos are great but while the lcd is crystal clear, it is a bit small. The D200 shutter sounds more like a classic SLR with a satisfying "click" compared to the 5D. Although the 5D does have excellent image quality.

  • @StevenVicious

It's nice, although I like that new D7000 over it.

  • @Ishcoa im buying one to this week for 825.00. how do you like yours?

  • seriously a great camera. perfect for the intermediate and even somewhat advanced photographer.

  • better to just buy the body than a kit then just buy your own lens?
