@gaara06318 Corsets did not break your bones and give you infections, hair waxing is not as painful as bone breaking, and plastic surgery is done by your own will and not forced upon you, and you don't feel any pain during a surgery. I can't even begin to understand that you actually trying to protect this :S

@any0wn The culture of society holds more sway on your decisions more than you think. And besides, surgery has a lot of complications. I'm a student doctor and i can name a lot. Im not trying to protect this. Im trying to condemn it along with all the other procedures to make women more "beautiful." Please try to understand simple english next time.

@HemaFTW so you think that possible diaphragmatic rupture, atelectasis and internal hemorrhage aren't as life threatening and incapacitating? besides, im talking about how similar they are in terms of going against the natural form of the human body. not literally how they differ. I know the pathology and possible complications of each procedure, thanks.

@any0wn Im not talking about how specifically different they are. I'm just saying that they are the same in the themes of society dictating what is beautiful and going against the natural human form. If you are enslaved by the very same concepts of beauty, a grown woman will have just as little a choice as that 5-year old who got her foot bound. what's worse, they think it's the right thing to do.

Oh, and don't belittle the effects of corsets. displacements of internal organs sounds nasty.
