Moving Art™ - Buzzy Kerbox - Big Wave Surfer

A Moving Art original short. Buzzy Kerbox is another guy who is GREAT at what he does. I did this profile on him in Hawaii a couple of years back. It was my first chance to shoot "tow-in" surfing, and includes footage of the infamous "Jaws"-- a giant series of waves off the coast of Maui. Besides being world-class at what he does, Buzzy is as nice a guy as you'd ever want to meet. He is a fantastic ambassador for his sport. If you ever get a chance to hang with him, take it!

This is an old comment but I really hate attitudes like this, every hear the saying the best surfer is the one having the most fun? You think Buzzy is worrying about crowded surf or is just stoked on life everyday? As if you are somehow more special than others and should be privileged to have surf to yourself. The only thing that sucks with surfing is macho BS localism.

@rodnisimo - everyone should be allowed to enjoy the ocean, why should it be exclusive to the pro's and great amateurs? The housewives aren't going to be interested in the big wave surf anyway... they'll stick to the little stuff, which i'm sure you'd have no interest in surfing.

the first tow in was by an unknown guy at pipeline but it didnt catch on until BUZZY, laird and derrick dorner took a zodiak out a couple years later to escape the crowds. so how about u get ur fucken facts straight before u start talkin shit about people who did really start tow ins

did you know the nicest guy ,was like that because he sold drugs and surfed and never had to really worry about money..yeah you goofy goon ,, your the clueless one here.. so if your children were around in the late 70,s they probably got their first taste of poison from the most nicest guy,,, WAKE UP
