The Alt-Country bad asses, YARN, return with a tender moment from the album YARN, "Angel In Woodstock". Combining outstanding musicianship, tight vocals and well crafted songs with a "metal-like" sex, drugs and rock and roll attitude, YARN is simply the cream of the new Alt-Country crop.

Beautiful.. tight harmonies and great lyrics and a bunch of great musicians. I was lucky enough to catch Yarn live when I was in NYC last year and they were absolutely awesome. Bought a CD at the gig and have probably listened to it nearly every day since.. and my daughter absolutely loves it too.

Blake Christiana's lyrics are nothing short of poetry, he goes the Gordian knot way-cuts to the chase, expressing exquiite pain, longing, and sometimes the chance of joy. Andrew Hendryx's mandolin is sublime, a "less is more" sensibility that is too often lacking today. His tasteful phrasing is the best I've heard in my 40yrs of listening to the best mandolin players. The range of this band is incredible, and their tight-knit performances are well transposed to their CD.
