Jeanne Demessieux studied organ with Marcel Dupré at Paris Conservatoire. In comparison with the case of Cécile Chaminade, she was not only a great organist but also a famous organ composer of the middle 20th century. She would merit to be better known today. She died in 1968, that is why this record is a digital remasterised copy of vinyl 33 rpm original wafer. So the recording technics were not as evolved in that times as today.
