From Side B of the album. You can now hear the whole side on Vimeo: http://vimeo.com/4647530

I've found this video on one of my Hi-8 tapes (hasn't been erased yet). This video was taken in April 2008 before I would have the software to edit videos from DVDs.

I got "Hot Tomita" from eBay a few years after Y2K.

Stravinsky: Infernal Fire Dance of King Kastchei from "The Firebird"

Turntable: Late '70s Pioneer PL-518

Camera: Sony CCD-TRV608 Hi-8 Handycam

Video Capture: Insignial DVD Recorder (instead of the low resolution Dazzle DV-80)

Edited with Nero Vision 4 from Nero Essentials 7.

  • I have the Bermuda Triangle 33 in "Pink Vinyl"

    Very nice song.

  • @pgm98387

Me too! I think mine's a "Coral Vinyl".

I also have "Impressions of an Astronaut". Pretty good compilation of Tomita's stuff.

  • Aha, I love hearing classical music get spun into something new. Fuck yes. Some of the synth moments sound strange while other parts where the noises sound gruff feel very appropriate.

  • @DisneyAudioMagic As for this one, it does sound a lot like the "Main Street Electrical Parade" because the synth music played.

  • Great stuff! This half of "Firebird Suite" was from "Fantasia 2000" and it was featured on the recent Blu-Ray release with "Fantasia" as part of the "2-Movie Collection" series. I posted the second part of "Firebird Suite" from "Fantasia 2000" performed by Isao Tomita. There was also by Tomita called "Night on Bald Mountain" and it was featured in "Fantasia". Two of these great synthesized versions inspired by the Disney films "Fantasia" and "Fantasia 2000".
