Idk, I always thought if GM was going to lay a sub-corp to rest it shouldn't have been Pontiac by a long shot. They should have ended Buick.

@lordcrusade Well that's just personal taste isn't it. I much prefer the 4th Gen. Ws6 as the best Trans Am and would have kept the Trans Am going on and on because my opinion is they kept getting better after each generation. We'll agree to disagree on this one.

@p4horror You see more buicks on the road than pontiac and a new Trans am *muscle* would just fail i'm glad they didn't because it would bring a bad name to the REAL Trans Ams aka 77 to 78 were the best T/A's ever made
So good move GM but they should of just added it all to Chevrolet besides a few

@lordcrusade Had Pontiac still been around with the 2010 muscle car boom and revived the Trans Am and a redesigned GTO, G8, along with the everyday driver roster, Pontiac would have generated 3X or more the revenue Buick has made. I stand by my comment: Bad move by GM.

@lordcrusade those are called running lights.......the GTO starts to catch up then you see the brakes come on...you sir are blind.

@lordcrusade And don't get me wrong i do love Pontiac too but Not so much their newer cars as of the Older cars they died off after 1978 with their Trans Am being the last best Pontiac ever made

Buick would of been a bad choice because you see A LOT of people with Buick's

yeah dude, I hate know it alls. Anyway, what I wanted to say is man that TA pulls soooo hard that it's amazing that the GTO can even catch-up..... when the boost comes ont it makes the TA look like he let off (although I knwo it didn't). I wanna see this GTO runnin some Supra ass down... well, no I wanna see you brake boost and leave some supra ass immediately. "respect"

exactly. most dont even know what brake boosting is...lol...when i still had this car i took it to a few big citys and ran some fast cars. there is a vid of it running a stroked/forged//nitrous/ bussa floating around somewhere.
also running some stock bussas and killing them. the car was wicked fast on teh big end once spooled. it was more of a roll racer like the supras. see atleast someone knows a little about cars around here!!!

if all of you would even watch and listen. i said " YOU GO AND ILL CATCH UP"
he went, HUGE head start. then watch the GTO real him back in WAY BEFORE he hit his brakes. just use your eyes guys geeze. its cause of alot of these comments i dont even like posting vids anymore cause everyone is clueless

wow i love seeing all the people on here that have no clue about cars.
I as in ME i built both of these cars
the GTO WAS turboed. it had a APS TT kit
the GTO made over 1000HP and the TA made 440+ so do that math guys.
the guy in teh TA is a good friend and he will tell you the same thing.
The GTO was a sleeper, very quiet. you could barely even hear the turbos. Anyways i really dont have time to argue with people that have no clue.
