"Indescribable... Indestructible! Nothing Can Stop It!" Blobfest, is held in mid July each year in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, a small town on the outskirts of Philadelphia. It was here in 1957 that a small group of moviemakers on a very low budget filmmed The Blob, one of the best "B" Sci-Fi movies of the decade-and according to some, of all time.
More than 300 people ran screaming out of Phoenixville's restored Colonial Theater in a reenactment of one of the most famous scenes of the movie in which the Blob, a huge gelatinous mass attacks the crowded theater.
I'd laugh if it turned out to be REAL!

This was cool. I am a huge Blob fan and was there in 2004 for Blobfest. I went on Saturday and missed the Fri night movie panic scene. Now I got to experience it! I wasn't able to get up there last year. I have footage from my visit as well.
