Since Mormonism was established in the 1840s by Joseph Smith along w/ its doctrine, it doesn't really have concrete ancient historical data to determine the genetic makeup of Polynesians & Native Americans. (Oh, those golden tablets Smith found w/ help from god? Always that way isn't it? One is always alone when they see a god, or a burning bush.) I think scientific methods have proven that Polynesians & Native/Meso Indians do not have Hebrew bloodlines. Mormonism is myth.

It's not only polynesians who are lamanites/israelites, it extends to Micronesia, and quite possibly south east asia as well! Hence the similarities. Just the farther west you go the more mixed blood it is.
