UC Chorale - Kundiman Fiesta 2008

The UC Chorale's performance during the Kundiman Fiesta 2008, a choral competition held in cooperation with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts as part of the celebration of the 2008 Dagupan Bangus Festival.

These performances of "Ang Tangi Kong Pag-ibig" and the contest piece "Iliw Ed Inaro" won the UC Chorale 2nd place behind SLU Glee Club Alumni's Coro del Rio.

im a voice graduate from UP under dean montet coymo and also, i trained with the madz. its nice to know that there are good college choirs here in the north. the way you sang the piece is a little bit boring.kulang sa interpretation and sa dynamics.this is a kundiman piece but not necessarilly sang as if papuntang sementeryo.dpat my variey ung pgkanta pra hindi boring and pra hindi mabigat pra sa audience. i hope you guys would take criticism contructively so you would improve. keep it up

Hey, hi... yeah, thanks for the comment. We did try to vary the dynamics and the tempo of the first song; maybe the recording made the changes imperceptible? Hehe... We'll do better next time.

No, the conductor hasn't received any formal music training or education, and he finished his baccalaureate in Baguio. He just assumed directorship of the choir in January, so our winning is quite a feat for the group.

We have been trying to find someone to help us become better. It's pretty interesting because after several futile attempts to get someone to help us, the Lord brought you to us. So yeah, of course we'd love to have you listen to us and give us the help we need.
