Your hair is so pretty. I tried this style on my mothers head and I was able to get the curl pattern but when it dried it flaked up. Do you have any suggestions that may help with the flaking

@naturalgirl313 Try using a creamy leave in or oil under and over the gel.

@YouuOnlyLiveonce Once the hair dries, if you re-wet it it will eventually absorb water and swell or get bigger and fluffier so you will just have to redo your hair sooner if you don't like that look. As each day goes by the hair will swell a little more so by the end of the week it is much bigger than when you started out. So if you don't like that look just redo your hair before it get's to that point.

If I didn't want my hair to big ( I really don't) could I just keep spraying it with water the whole day. But I don't want to lose my curls or make the gel flaky

Have you ever made flax seed gel? I have heard its good. I just bought the seeds and i am about to try it. It is probably not drying and its natural. I saw a woman use it in a video and the results were really nice.
