This is the interview Anthony (Tony) Bourdain gave Larry King Live on his expereince in Lebanon. Basically how amazing of a time he was having until the attacks from Israel started.

Transcript:
KING: They are wonderful people, are they not?

BOURDAIN: Absolutely, with incredible tradition of hospitality, particularly at the table. They like to party. They pride themselves on their resilience. It was just so sad to see all of that pride, in what they had survived, to see that disappear in an instant.

KING: Thanks, Tony.

My sisters are the two on the table with Anthony at a roof-top bar.

  • Tony Bourdain has some of the best insight about the average person in places we only hear about on the news.

  • This was just the excuse Israel needed to attack lebanon,Israel wants a piece of every country surrounding it,they are the main terrorist in the middle east.

  • @ darusdei actually I don't know anyone that thinks jews or israeli's are stupid...but im not going to get into a conversation with you about all the computer and medical innovations that israel contributes to the world. after all im replying to a dumb ass who is calling anyone commenting on this "yanks". get back inside your trailer i think i hear your cousin calling you i mean your wife.

  • Amusing to see a bunch of yanks commenting on foreign affairs when they propably don't even know where the country is or better yet, where their own is...

  • @kingo904 Oh so that justifies bombing civilian targets...

lol... and then you wonder why everyone calls you stupid?

  • @translationwiz because Israel was fighting Hezbolla which is a terrorist organization. The reason they were fighting in places like Beirut is because they hide within the civilians, so maybe if there government were to stand up to these terrorist and eradicate them, then civilians wouldn't have to lose there lives.

  • I LOVE TONY THAT I DON NEED TO TRAVEL I TRAVEL WITH HIM ALL OVER THE WORLD

  • Actually you doubted you can show the world again what a wonderful city it is , after 4 years, its that paradise again, your welcomed here anytime

  • Hi, thanks for this, I appreciate it. if anyone has the Live version of this, please post it. I have this somewhere on DVD, I think.

  • If the soldiers were captured in Southern, Hizballah, Lebanon; I dont understand why Beirut was bombed? It doesnt make any sense. Beirut is far away from the border where the hostilities occurred. I mean, if you HAVE to attack civilians to satisfy your anger......do it where the attackers are. IF you must attack civilians. Attacking Beirut was unnecessary.

    peace/paz/salam/shalom.

  • Those were your sisters? Tony bourdain calls it like it is. Love to you and your family from Ireland. God Bless.

  • God bless Lebanon!!!
