Yes, the battery is at fault. :P Now I don't know where to get it. :( Probably will check with my nearest camera dealer. Thanks for all the help cosmicship! :D

I flew in this aircraft. A fantastic hour-long flight. This aircraft N750RW was totaled in a crash 9-25-04 at Fullerton (CA) Airport. For crash video and info about Tony Albanese (injured in the crash), search (on YouTube) "Tony Albanese Shockwave Episode".

Heh, thanks alot but I don't have a credit card. I might have to call my local Nikon branch then. :) Thanks again for trying to help! ^_^

Sorry to hear that! There are reports of problems with the gear mechanism that drives the lens in these cameras. If the gears fail so the lens does not move, the camera will not come up when it is turned on.
The funny thing that it seems to have power. When I charge it and put it in the camera, the camera lens move in and out and then wont turn on again lol.

Was this with a new battery? If so, that might mean the charger isn't working properly. Mine failed some time ago. If you try to charge the battery and the camera only moves the lens in and out once, that means the camera is trying to work but can't get enough power to stay running.

Hi. :) Yes, there is NO indication of power. I think the rechargeable battery has failed me. And sorry to ask a stupid question, what is an ac adapter and where can I get it? :(

An ac adapter connects the camera to an electrical wall outlet, so it doesn't use the battery. Apparently, they don't sell it anymore. However, the battery is still being sold. That might be your best solution. Check Amazon.

Hey again cosmicship! Mine doesn't even tell you that it is on. No light on LED screen.

If there is no indication of power when you turn it on - nothing on the display at the top of the camera, in the viewfinder, or the fold out screen, are you able to power the camera using an ac adapter? I wouldn't trust the rechargeable battery, as it will fail after a while.
